Data controller

Amelys Ltd (company number 12611649, registered office: 20-22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU) is the controller of the personal data collected through this website. Our data protection officer (DPO) can be reached at [email protected].

What we collect and why

We only collect the data you send us through the forms on this site.

Contact form: your name, email address, the subject of your enquiry and your message, plus your organisation and country if you give them. We use them to reply to you.

Foundry form: your description of the problem and the details that go with it, your name, email address and, if you give it, your organisation. We use them to assess the problem and to contact you if we decide to take it further.

Required fields are needed to process your submission: without them, the form cannot be sent.

Your IP address is used to limit the number of submissions and to check that they do not come from a bot. It is not stored with your request.

Lawful basis

Contact form: your consent, given by ticking the box on the form; you can withdraw it at any time. Foundry form: our legitimate interest in assessing the problems submitted to us. Submission limits and bot checks: our legitimate interest in protecting the site against abuse.

Who processes your data

Your data is handled by our teams, in the dashboard that receives the forms and in our support tool, the ORKESO Helpdesk, both hosted on our dedicated servers with Scaleway in France. Cloudflare hosts the website and runs the bot check (Cloudflare Turnstile). These providers act on our instructions.

Transfers outside the UK

Our servers are in France, in the European Economic Area, which the UK recognises as providing adequate protection. Cloudflare may process some data in other countries, under the safeguards required by the UK GDPR.

How long we keep it

The dashboard keeps a copy of each request for no more than 90 days. Correspondence that follows a request is kept for three years after our last exchange. Foundry submissions are kept for three years after they are sent or, if a project opens, for as long as it runs. Data used to limit submissions is deleted after one hour.

Your rights

You can ask to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict its processing or receive it in a portable format, and object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Write to [email protected]: we reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), the UK’s data protection regulator.

This site presents Amelys, its products, its books and the Foundry. Each product’s own terms are set out on its website.

Foundry submissions

Submitting a problem does not create a confidential, contractual, advisory, partnership or development relationship. We may already be working on similar problems, and we may investigate a problem without any obligation to the person who raised it.

Governing law

These terms and the use of this site are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
